“Disintegration” by The Cure // Disintegration (1989)
It will never get old. Still sounds perfect.

Jason Mantzoukas is the reason I will be seeing “The Dictator”. This extended clip finally gives me a good idea of how he will playing his character and I love it. So funny.
Someone at HBO needs to give Marc Maron an hour long, uncut, sit down talk show because that guy can get a great interview out of anyone. Always interesting.
again, and again, and again… never stop hitting that turd.

The Avengers was great. Prometheus looks to be a great time as well. This summer might be loaded with treats, but nothing has my attention like the Dark Knight Rises. I’m Team Nolan all the way.

“To Build a Home” by Cinematic Orchestra (feat. Patrick Watson) // Live, London (2007)
This is an extraordinary and cinematic piece of music that has been used to tremendous effect in film and television (“Another Earth” & “Friday Night Lights”) but it’s always strange to see it performed live because Patrick Watson’s voice is so otherworldly that it’s almost shocking to see it in person. Whatever the case, it’s a staggeringly beautiful composition and damn near impossible for me to ever tire of it.
“The Agony of Laffitte” by Spoon // A Series of Sneaks (1998)
Listening to old records tonight. Spoon has some tremendous tracks floating around their back catalog. So many gems.

There has been a rash of new followers and people asking questions about this and that, so I thought that in addition to this week’s Q&A that appeared in Notion Magazine, I would introduce myself and answer some brief questions.
My name is Steve, that’s me on the left. Spike Bonze, is the man on the left. He is my creative counsel. I would rather not spill a ton about myself on a random tumblr blog, so if the mood strikes you to really get to know me, then feel free to message me or shoot me a message over at my Twitter, @perfectmidnight, and i’d be happy to get to know you more there. I suppose the reason being, that I’m not that big on living in public with everything known about me because this blog is about music and not me. I just wanted to take a chance to introduce myself.
Someone did ask me to state 5 random musical facts about myself (i’m sorry whoever you are, i deleted that message accidentally before I could reply) and I think I could do that without feeling too creepy. Do they have to be embarrassing? Fuck it, let’s make them embarrassing.
So, that’s me. Steve. The guy who runs P|M|W. Between this and that Notion Magazine thing, you should have a pretty good idea of what kind of shithead you’re dealing with. Feel free to say hi in the ASK BOX if you’d like. I also randomly post non-music nonsense over at Crowned In Noise if you’re interested in things I dig outside of music.
Thank you all for the support and reblogs and nice things. I greatly appreciate it. I would have given up on this a long time ago if you guys weren’t so great. Now i’m going to go work on the next mixtape for you folks and hopefully you’ll like it. Thanks again. Have a wonderful weekend.
